Movies for Mind and Spirit set
Second in What the Bleep series to be screened this Sunday
Three movies on the holistic theme are scheduled to be screened over the
next few weeks in what organizers are calling Three Movies for Mind and
Spirit.
The films, which begin this Sunday (March 26) with two screenings of
What the Bleep?! Down the Rabbit Hole, are meant to "awaken the viewer's
sense of conscious awareness and evoke an appreciation that we are all
connected," one of the organizers, Kelly Oswald of The Oracle, said in a
statement.
Screenings of this Sunday's movie, the second in the "What the Bleep"
series, are planned at 6:15 and 8:15 p.m. at the Whistler Youth Centre
at MY Millennium Place. Tickets are available at The Oracle. Screenings
of The Celestine Prophecy and The Indigo Evolution are planned on April
2 and April 9, respectively. Proceeds from all three film screenings
will benefit the Whistler Youth Centre. These movie debuts exemplify the
shift being seen in Whistler, with "New-Age" thought being united with
forward-thinking traditional corporations, Oswald said. While Whistleršs
The Oracle Shop is bringing the films to town, Solarice, Object by
Design, Whistler Bodyworks, Healing Hands, Soul Function, Mecca Massage,
BookBuffet, The Wellness Week and The Question are helping sponsor these
shows.
What the Bleep?! Down the Rabbit Hole includes new scientific findings
that supplement the original movie, going more deeply into the concepts
explored.
The second film explores the links between quantum mechanics,
neurobiology, human consciousness and day-to-day reality. The film
features 16 of the world's top physicists, engineers, physicians,
biologists, researchers, journalists and mystics, who talk about
consciousness, psi research, physics, biology,
emotion and addictions, including Dean Radin, Ph.D., and Dr. Masaru
Emoto, and author of The Field, Lynne McTaggart. The moviešs power and
magic lies in the fact that it really makes us understand how human
beings are connected to each other to the whole universe and how we all
affect reality, the statement said.
The Celesting Prophecy, based on James Redfield's worldwide best-selling
novel is a spiritual adventure film chronicling the discovery of ancient
scrolls in the rainforests of Peru. The prophecy and its nine key
insights predict a worldwide awakening, arising within all religious
traditions, that moves humanity toward a deeper experience of
spirituality. Two screenings are planned on April 2.
The Indigo Evolution explores the phenomenon of indigo children who,
according to those who subscribe to the theory, are coming into the
world with their eyes wide open, ready to play their role in creating a
world of compassion and peace. Director James Twyman takes viewers on a
journey into one of the most important questions of our day: "Has the
human race finally evolved to a higher reality? The screenings are
planned on April 9. |
